Circumferential Piston Pumps and BestPump
In 1995, some former employees of Waukesha Cherry Burrell formed the Wrightech Corporation to manufacture spare parts for the Waukesha Universal U1 & U2 circumferential piston pumps.
Later in 2002, following the success of the new spare parts business, and with the new name of Wright Pump, their first TRA10 circumferential piston pump was manufactured in Muskego, Wisconsin (a 20 minute drive from Waukesha).
That first ‘Wright Pump’ was a TRA10 model 0150 (it was 100% interchangeable with the Waukesha U1 015 pump).
The UK’s Original TRA Circumferential Piston Pump Distributor
With the TRA circumferential piston pumps, BestPump Ltd was the original UK distributor of the Wright Pump and we began replacing many U1 & U2 units with the TRA10 & TRA20 equivalents in some of the largest food manufacturers in the industry.
Fast-forward almost 20 years and we are still the original UK TRA pump distributor.
The story doesn’t end there however, in 2008, Wright Pump and Johnson Pump of Eastbourne joined forces under the IDEX banner to become Wright Flow Technologies and so we increased our portfolio to begin distribution of the Johnson Pump rotary lobe pump range too.
Our heritage is hygienic positive displacement pumps and our capabilities to deliver bespoke stainless-steel systems in conjunction with leading manufacturers make us an ideal engineering partner for industrial manufacturing clients.
